Light Projected Form

A very early work that explored using light to create forms which could occupy architectural space. It was an early interest in generating a physical form with the ethereal qualities of technology and light. This object would not operate without the control of an overly long drive belt, which spun small neon lights, on the metal wheel. Another small motor spun a small light at a high speed. The spinning of these lights was projected through a Fresnel lens which rotated to the left and right. Projection of the lights through this lens caused the projection of a cone of light which extended several inches in front of the glass form.
